Did you know?.... Just registering your child for Free School Meals means that we get extra funding.

For every child registering at our school we will get an extra £600 this year.

If you want your child to have a free, healthy meal at lunchtime that's great - they will get the free meal (saving you more than £350 a year), extra benefits and the school gets £600 extra.

Extra clubs are subsidised for Free School Meals children.

Free school meals are a statutory benefit, this means that if you qualify you have a legal right to free school meals for your child or children.

Children whose parents receive the following support payments are entitled to receive free school meals:

  • Income Support

  • Income Based Jobseeker's Allowance

  • Income Related Employment and Support Allowance

  • Support under part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999

  • The guarantee element of State Pension Credit

  • Child Tax Credit, provided they are not entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual income (as assessed by Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs) that as of 6 April 2010 does not exceed £16,190.

Children who receive Income Support or Income Based Jobseeker's Allowance in their own right are also entitled to receive free school meals.
